If shopping is your thing, meander the Golden Quarter for the ultimate luxury experience with flagship stores such as Louis Vuitton, Emporio Armani, Miu Miu, Roberto Cavalli, Prada and Saint Laurent.

If you can brave the low temperatures of winter in Vienna then you're in for a treat of clear blue skies and fresh snow. Enjoy the beauty winter brings in a cosy nearby cafe before heading to the Imperial Butterfly House for a tropical adventure with stunning art-nouveau surroundings. The Christmas markets offer a stunning festive scene against the backdrop of the city hall.
Travelling further outside of the city gives you a just-as-impressive range of options for all tastes. If you go south, you'll have the chance to experience Schönbrunn Palace – a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site that combines beautiful buildings with extensive landscaped gardens. Hundertwasserhaus, in the east, offers a completely new experience for modern art fans.
