A short flight to Pisa International Airport - which is so close to the city centre, you could walk there in half an hour - will soon acquaint you with the (in)famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, part of the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Italian Riviera exploration
Five colourful seaside towns make up the much-loved national park, Cinque Terre. Translation "Five Lands" in Italian. The Sentiero Azzurro cliffside hiking trail links the towns with sweeping sea vistas, old castles and small beaches to explore.
